Mallika Sherawat is one of the finest female actresses in Bollywood and she was born with a different name. She was known as Reema Lamba in her home town f Rohtak Haryana.

She is a jat who studied at Miranda House in Delhi University where she did her graduation in philosophy and schooling from Delhi Public School Mathura Road. She began her acting career from commercials and she did commercials for BPL and with Shahrukh for Santro.

She also went on to act to act in music videos like Lak Tunoo by Surjit Bindarkhia. She debuted in Bollywood with a very small role in Jeena Sirf Merre Liye. She only got the attention of the audiences from 2003 in the movie Khwahish.

Her real journey to stardom began with the year 2004 with the movie called Murder which was inspired by the Hollywood flick Unfaithful.In this Mallika Sherawat played the role of an adulteress and the movie became one of the biggest hits of the year.

She also started getting roles in Hollywood movie and she acted in The Myth co Starring Jackie Chan. In 2006 she again came out with a hit movie called Pyaar Ke Side Effects co starring Rahul Bose and the movie won a lot of acclaim from the audiences. In 2007 she landed up doing Welcome which did well at the box office.

She also did guest appearances in other movies and in 2008 Ugly aur Pagli and Mann Gaye Mughal e Azam were both flop movies in which she had acted. She has just finished shooting for Hisss which stars Irrfan Khan in it and it is also a Hollywood movie directed by Jennifer Lynch. She has also finished shooting for Love, Barack another Hollywood movie and her bold character is well known to everyone in the Industry.
